Terms of Service
Last updated June 28, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of DefenderDocs Utah (“DefenderDocs,” “we,” “us”), a document-automation service operated by LitFlow Technologies, LLC (“LitFlow”) at defenderdocs.com. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
1. Not legal advice; not a law firm
DefenderDocs is a self-help document-automation tool. It is not a law firm, does not provide legal advice, and using it does not create an attorney–client relationship with us. The documents it produces are drafts generated from the information you supply and from templates. You — the licensed attorney or authorized user — are solely responsible for reviewing, correcting, finalizing, and filing every document, and for ensuring it is accurate, complete, and appropriate for your matter and jurisdiction. Do not rely on a generated document without independent professional review.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and a licensed attorney, or staff authorized to act under the supervision of a licensed attorney, to use the service. You are responsible for complying with your professional and ethical obligations, including the rules of professional conduct that apply to you.
3. Accounts
You are responsible for the information you provide, for keeping your login credentials secure, and for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.
4. Subscription, pricing, and payment
- The service is offered as a subscription that includes unlimited document generation while your subscription is active. New subscribers may begin with a free trial; the trial length and current prices are shown in the app.
- After any free trial, your subscription renews automatically (monthly or annually, as you select) at the price shown in the app, billed through Stripe, until you cancel.
- You may cancel at any time from your account. Cancellation stops future renewals, and your access continues through the end of the current paid period. Prices may change prospectively, with any change taking effect on your next renewal.
- Refunds. Subscription fees are non-refundable except where required by law. If you believe you were charged in error, contact us and we will review the issue in good faith.
5. AI-generated content
The “Draft with AI” feature uses an automated language model to produce suggested text. AI output may be inaccurate, incomplete, or not suited to your matter, and may include legal citations that require verification. You must independently review and verify all AI-generated content before using it.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the service for any unlawful purpose or to generate documents you are not authorized to file.
- Attempt to circumvent subscription, security, or access controls, or interfere with the service.
- Reverse engineer, resell, or redistribute the service except as permitted by law.
- Submit content that infringes others’ rights or violates applicable law.
7. Your content and our platform
You retain all rights to the documents you generate and the information you provide. You grant us only the limited rights needed to operate the service and produce your documents (including transmitting content to the processors described in our Privacy Policy). We and our licensors retain all rights to the DefenderDocs software, templates, and brand.
8. Third-party services
The service relies on third-party providers (including Supabase, Stripe, Google, Anthropic, and CloudConvert). Your use of features that depend on them may also be subject to their terms, and we are not responsible for their acts or omissions.
9. Disclaimer of warranties
The service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that generated documents are error-free, legally sufficient, or suitable for any particular purpose, or that the service will be uninterrupted or secure.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, LitFlow and its affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service will not exceed the amount you paid to us in the twelve months before the claim arose.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless LitFlow from claims, losses, and expenses arising out of your use of the service, the documents you generate, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.
12. Termination
You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or to protect the service. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. The exclusive venue for any dispute is the state or federal courts located in Utah, and you consent to their jurisdiction.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated version here and revise the “Last updated” date above. Your continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
